Collaborative palletizing robots increased by 132% year-on-year

A palletizing robot is an automated equipment mainly used to stack and place items according to certain rules and requirements to complete the palletizing operation of goods. Stacking robots can be divided into two types based on their different compositions: traditional industrial palletizing robots and collaborative palletizing robots.

Traditional industrial palletizing robots have been maturely and widely used due to their high degree of automation and large load capacity. However, in industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, and daily chemical products, some companies still have scenes of manual palletizing. The palletizing process may seem simple, but it has long relied on workers to perform repetitive physical labor such as bending, moving, and palletizing. This not only poses health risks such as lower back injuries, but also invisibly reduces the stability and efficiency of the operation. With the changes in population structure and the shortage of young labor force, the difficulty of employment has become a major practical problem that troubles enterprises.

For the sake of efficiency and safety, more and more manufacturing companies are interested in incorporating the palletizing process into their automation upgrade plans. However, traditional industrial robot palletizing relies on complex programming, making it difficult to switch lines. Although the efficiency improvement is significant, it is not flexible enough, and the industrial robot requires a safety fence during operation. The difficulty of human-machine cooperation further limits its application boundaries.

In this context, collaborative palletizing robots with small space occupation, easy deployment, flexibility, high safety, and simple operation have become the choice of more and more enterprises, gradually occupying a place in the palletizing scene.
